A Little Back Ground

Here is a little background on our little boy. We matched with our birth mom on March 16^th. We were told then that the baby was measuring at 8 lbs and he was due April 7^th. So I spent the first weekend consignment sale shopping for 0-3 month old clothes. Any newborn outfits we had, we returned with the exception of a couple since he was going to be a big baby. I needed clothes because by the time we have our baby shower he will probably be in 3-6 months clothes. Since we only had 3 weeks till his due date, we decided to postpone showers till after he arrived.

As always, God’s timing is perfect. Our little guy missed his due date but was born yesterday weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and measuring at 21.5 inches long. Because he was measuring at 8 lbs 3 weeks ago, we expected a 9.5 to 10 lb baby. I guess the doctors are not always right. Maybe I should have kept a couple newborn outfits.

We were blessed to be able to meet him today along with his birth family. They are great people and love him very much! We are humbled by the opportunity to parent this precious baby boy.
